
Dr. Fordjour Afriyie is a registered dietitian with a passion for enhancing public understanding of proper nutrition. She completed her BSc in Dietetics at the University of Stellenbosch and her MSc in Dietetics at Nelson Mandela University. Currently, she is in the final stages of her PhD journey.
With over six years of experience as a community nutrition dietitian in the Nelson Mandela Bay Health District, she has been actively involved in developing innovative methods to disseminate nutritional information to diverse communities. Her dedication to her field is evident in her research, which was presented at the 2nd World Breastfeeding Conference in 2016 and the Nutrition Congress in 2018.
Ms. Fordjour Afriyie lectures first-year Food Science modules, where she inspires and educates Dietetics, BCom Hospitality, and BCom Food Service students. Beyond her academic and professional commitments, she is deeply passionate about promoting African and traditional diets. Her enthusiasm for dietetics and commitment to her community make her a notable figure in the field of nutrition.
